PACING
Over the years, I have refined a deep sensitivity to tempo and rhythm as essential storytelling tools. From the urgency of action to the quiet weight of a pause, I shape the flow of a film to guide the audience’s attention, emotion, and understanding, drawing them fully into the story and carrying them through each moment with intention.
A BRIDGERTON STORY
QUEEN CHARLOTTE (NETFLIX)

This mini-series carries a darker, more grounded tone than Bridgerton. Although the scene portrays intimacy, my focus was on the subtext beneath it, shaping the moment as a playful struggle for power between the two men. Through careful control of rhythm, I paced the scene to clarify the true nature of their relationship, establishing the dynamic that carries through the rest of the series.
FAST & FURIOUS SPY RACER (DISNEY)
TRAILER

Before transitioning to scripted editing, I honed my skills over a decade as a trailer editor. The experience not only sharpened my sense of pacing and rhythm but also enriched my visual and audio storytelling faculties. This ability to evolve and adapt quickly has made me a more rounded and interesting narrative editor. Here's an example of a trailer I edited for Netflix.
POSTCARD FROM EARTH (THE SPHERE)
BEHIND THE SCENE

Finding the right rhythm in a cut is crucial for pacing. Just like in music, where the lyrics tell the story and the rhythm shapes the flow, editing uses timing to guide the emotional experience. I focus on creating peaks and valleys in the cuts to capture the viewer's attention and deliver maximum impact.
